The Olana is a French inspired wedding venue just outside of Dallas, Texas.
The wedding venue most brides dream of! I started researching venues around the DFW Metroplex before we moved. When I saw the Olana I can promise you my jaw dropped to the ground. While Savannah has some AMAZING venues… Texas venues are in a catagory of their own!
Not long after we moved, Styled Shoots Across America posted that the next shoot crawl was going to be at The Olana and I knew I just had to go! A week before tickets went on sale, they posted that they were going to giveaway a ticket. So of course I entered! Fast forward to the morning the tickets go on sale and I find out I won the ticket! I knew it was going to be an amazing experience.
It was an amazing experience! Not only did I get to take portraits and detail photos that I could use to build my portfolio, but I also got to meet local vendors and fellow photographers! If you don’t know what a shoot crawl is, allow me to explain. The shoot crawl is a wedding styled shoot that includes 10 different stations with groups of 5-6 photographers rotating through in 20 minute increments. These bride and groom portraits are from one of my favorite stations.
I love photographing real couples and Alissa and Charles were amazing to work with!
