Have you ever wanted to do have your Summer engagement session done at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens? Charleston in the summer may be warm, but it’s also one of the most enchanting times of year. The ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss and the lush greenery created the dreamiest setting for Emilee and Austin’s engagement session.

From the moment they arrived, these two looked effortlessly elegant. Emilee began the session in a classic white puff-sleeve dress paired with delicate wedges, her look was both timeless and romantic, perfectly complementing the garden setting. Austin matched her style with a light tan suit, crisp white shirt, and polished brown shoes, striking just the right balance of refined and relaxed for a summer afternoon. Together, they looked like they had stepped out of the pages of a magazine.

Later, Emilee changed into a soft yellow sundress while Austin swapped his jacket for a darker blazer, creating a slightly more elevated yet still summery feel. The pastel tones against the dappled light filtering through the oak-lined pathways gave this part of the session a fresh, editorial quality.

What I loved most was how natural they were together. Between the laughter, stolen glances, and the way they effortlessly fell into each other’s arms, their connection made the portraits feel authentic and full of joy. Magnolia’s winding paths and quiet corners gave them space to be themselves, while also offering a variety of backdrops that made their gallery as dynamic as it was romantic.

This session was the perfect example of how intentional styling can elevate engagement portraits, blending seamlessly with Charleston’s natural beauty. Magnolia Plantation remains one of my favorite places for summer engagement sessions like this! It’s timeless, romantic, and endlessly inspiring.
