On May 24th, beneath a canopy of Spanish moss, Sheridan and Sean said “I do” in one of Charleston’s most iconic Low-country venues, Middleton Place. This romantic garden wedding was truly something spectacular!
The day began with soft Southern light streaming through the windows of two charming downtown locations. The girls spent their morning at the Faber House, a classic Charleston home brimming with character and old-world elegance. Across town, the groom and his groomsmen got ready at the Hotel Bella Grace, a modern boutique hotel that provided the perfect contrast to the bride’s historic prep space.
The couple chose to do their first look at the Faber House, and it was one of the most tender, joy-filled moments of the day. The setting—elegant, peaceful, and full of Southern charm—made it feel like time had briefly paused, just for them. From there, we made our way to Middleton Place for one of the most meaningful parts of the day: their private vow exchange. It was intimate and emotional—one of those moments that reminds you of why weddings matter.
Their ceremony took place in the garden, with soft light blue accents and lush floral arrangements designed by the talented team at MOD Events. The setting felt like a secret garden—refined and wildly romantic all at once. Guests were treated to a cocktail hour just steps away, where the resident Middleton sheep wandered nearby, adding a playful Lowcountry charm to the evening.
As the sun dipped behind the trees, everyone gathered inside for the reception. MOD Events transformed the space into a floral-filled dream, effortlessly blending elegance with Southern hospitality. The newlyweds shared their first dance before the incredible Retreat Band from Charlotte kept the energy high and the dance floor full for the rest of the night.
Every detail, from the breathtaking blooms to the decadent cake by Tenacious Tarte, told a story—one of joy, love, and the kind of intentional planning that turns a wedding into an experience.
Wedding Films by Felicia captured the motion and emotion of the day perfectly, preserving those fleeting moments that photos can only begin to describe.
This Romantic Garden Wedding at Middleton Place was a true celebration of commitment and love!
