The Caledonia Golf Course and Fish Club are right outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in a little town called Pawleys Island.
This Engagement Session at Caledonia began in the late afternoon, when the light was soft and golden, perfect for capturing the romance of the moment. The couple, Hannah and Chris arrived looking effortlessly chic, their outfits carefully chosen to complement the natural hues of the surroundings. Hannah started out in a white dress and Chris in a crisp blue jacket and khaki pants were perfect choices, adding a touch of elegance to the lush green setting.
We started the session near the clubhouse, a stately building that exudes old-world charm. The sprawling porch and brick pathways provided a beautiful setting for some intimate shots. From there, we moved to the grand oak alley, one of the most iconic spots on the property. The towering oak trees, with their branches stretching overhead to form a natural canopy, created a magical atmosphere.
The couple opted to do two outfits as I always encourage and allow my couples to do for their engagement session. Most couples do decide to go forward with two outfits, typically a more formal for the first and a casual one for the second. Chris and Hannah did choose to keep it classy but toned down for their second outfit. Hannah wore a blue floral dress from Abercrombie and Chris wore a tan button up with dark blue jeans.
Hannah and Chris brought their 2 year old golden retriever pup, Henry, along for the engagement session and he added such a fun element. When bringing your puppy along for a session there are a few things to consider: bring a friend or family member along to hold the leash so we can get some photos without, buy a cute collar and leash to match your outfits, and of course bring treats and squeaky toy to help keep their attention.
