Keith and Kristin planned to get married at The Island House, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. However, not far into wedding planning, they realized they didn’t want a a big wedding, but rather week long celebration with their family and closest friends. Thus, the Mexico destination wedding was planned.
By the time they decided to pivot what they wanted to do, we had already connected. I checked back in with Kristin after not hearing back from her for about a week and thats when she told me they were switching the plan. I didn’t even hesitate and offered to travel with them to Mexico and document their day just as I would have if we were in Charleston. And I’m sure you can guess by this blog post that I’m writing… but they said yes! So Ethan and I booked flights to Huatulco, Mexico!
Kristin and Keith arrived in Mexico with their family and friends a few days before the wedding day. We all stayed at an all inclusive resort called Las Palmas. It was a beautiful resort set on a mountain with views of the ocean far below. The infinity pools and rooftop terraces were lovely!
Finally it was wedding day! They got married on one of the rooftops, with the stunning cliffs in the background. Kristin didn’t let her tropical destination wedding stop her from wearing the dress of her dreams. She wore an a-line classic looking gown from Bridal House of Charleston, while Keith wore a gray suit and light green tie.
Kristin changed into a 2 piece set for the reception which was so fitting for a destination wedding in Mexico. After dinner and toasts, the dancing began. Although, lets be honest, we had been partying all week long! The couple ended the formal parts of the night with a sparkler “exit” and then it was time for a late night pool party!
